hey kids,

    something ive noticed around here that ive found interesting. since ive stopped doing all my fan art of established comic characters (what ive been doing for the last four years to build my skills)  and switched my focus to developing the characters for my book "the uncanny valley" that ive been working on, my favorites count on my new work has gone way down, but my page views have more than doubled. im not quite sure what to read into this, but im happy more people are starting to stop by more and check out my work.

ive gotten the designs for most of the main characters worked out as a build the bible for my book. ive got it in my head to do an old style family portrait of our protagonists next (father, bridgette, hank, artie and kid lobo) then im moving on to designing the sets, locations, their homes and labs, etc... i know im setting the book in texas, but i may just set it here in san antonio so i can easily get photo reference. its a beautiful city here and i dont know of another book set here, so i think ill throw some love to my adopted home. i have the first five or six story arcs outlined and a bit of a longview of where i wanna go with the book.

heres a brief look at our main cast.

our protagonists......

father - an elderly grey alien and eban spy hiding out on earth, the patriarch of our little "family" mute, he speaks telepathically to hank and bridgette only.


hank - a frankenstein monster "son" built by father for help and companionship, hanks nervous system and brain are alien tech including a perpetual energy machine for a heart. when he gets angry and his "heart" races he builds up extra electrical energy that can be discharged thru a set of custom "brass knuckles" and the bolts on his upper spine mellow and low key, a fan of rockabilly and classic cars, hank is the families muscle and sense of cool headed logic.


bridgette - hanks sister and daughter and caretaker to father, shes our "marilyn munster" character, coming to age and coming to terms with the truth of her robotic self. bridgette is sweet and caring and the heart of our otherwise monsterous group.


artie - an egyptian mummy buried without ceremony and found inside a burial tomb, he has a sketchy at best memory of anything from before he spent thousands of years in dark solitude. a lil twitchy and unpredictable and overly talkative, hes a bit sadistic and prefers working with bladed weapons. theres no explanation to why arties still alive and he doesnt wanna know what he looks like under those bandages.


kid lobo - a young mexican boy with hypertrichosis, he dreams of being a luchador and lives with a code of honor and respect of human life that no one else in the family does, upbeat and positive and with a strange crush on bridgette. hes hank and arties sidekick.


our anagonists......

mickey the squid - a vile cruel gangster, he wears the mask because he loves the celebrity of being a mobster while keeping his identity secret. who really is mickey the squid noone knows. protection rackets, drugs, terrorism, no methods are out of question when it comes to obtaining power, he discovers the energy hank and bridgette are capable of producing and wants that tech for himself. with a fetish for torture he fights with a pair of 4 bladded urumi to filet his victims.

mona - mickeys flapper girlfriend, shes a sociopathic socialite, safe cracker, pick pocket and lock pick.


vic - mickeys hired muscle, another grey skinned frankenstein who seems to have a vendetta against father, much cruder than hank, vics stronger and much bigger than hank but without the electrical energy. he doesnt use weapons and like to beat his victims to pulp. vics true history is a mystery for now.


dr sahdo:the maso-ghost - he was a psychologist by day and serial killer by night until he picked the wrong victim. after being killed with a strange alien tech now hes a living skeleton shrink wrapped in a black latex s&m suit. he carries out his murders now as a hired hand to mickey after bringing the alien tech and energy to his attention.


mad billy the bomber - mickeys chemist, drug maker and in house scientist, billy oversees mickeys drug trade, adapts tech for him and builds his explosives.
